How Many Suitcases Is Too Many? ðŸ¤”

I know, I know… I didn’t post my blog on Sunday.

Well… I wrote one. Mostly.

Sunday turned into a massive “OMG, I’m not packed yet!” kind of day.

It started out great. I went to church, attended choir practice, spent time talking with friends, even met a new friend, and then came home to start packing.

Somewhere along the way, I completely forgot about my goals, my blog, and pretty much everything that wasn’t connected to packing, taking care of the dogs, or making food for the household.

Around 11:30 that night, I sat down on the couch for just a minute

I woke up around 1:45 a.m.

Not exactly part of the plan.

I hurriedly let the dogs out, started the dishwasher, and finally went to bed.

Of course, I still had to revamp my packing when I got up at 6:00 the next morning.

Instead of my usual two carry-ons and one checked bag, I somehow ended up with two checked bags and two carry-ons.

I could only laugh at myself.

In my defense, though, I’ll be in three very different climates.

My sister’s house is usually like a refrigerator. Texas is hot. Florida is hot—but a different kind of hot. Then there are the house and car air conditioners that seem determined to recreate the Arctic.

I needed clothes for all of it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hence… the mountain of luggage.

I also realized that I wear a lot of black, which isn’t exactly the best beach color. Soooooo… I had to dig out some white clothes.

Trust me—that doesn’t happen very often.

Thankfully, I made it to Texas without any problems. Since I’ve been here, I’ve mostly been napping, running errands, and mentally preparing for our long drive to Florida. I’m sure we’ll have plenty of adventures along the way.

One thing I wanted to let you know is that for the next few months, my posts will probably be shorter or in video form.

When I return to Tennessee, I’ll be having surgery on my right hand. My wrist and thumb have become increasingly painful, and typing has already become uncomfortable, so I may have to rely a little more on videos while I recover.

Thank you for sticking with me through all of life’s little adventures.

Be watching for plenty of pictures and videos from our Florida trip!

Until then, fill your week with hugs, love, laughter, and blessings.

Apparently, the suitcases aren’t done with me yet. Now I’m getting ready to pack (again) for the second leg of my trip—Florida! 🙃

Goodnight!

Oh… and before I go, I’d like to introduce you to Mark—the sheriff from Dangerous Desires.
