Where Did the Day Go!
Wow! The day got away from me. I can’t believe how quickly the time has flown by this Sunday.
This holiday week has gone fairly quickly. As I wrote on Wednesday, my Sweetheart’s mother came to visit. She got here on Wednesday and left yesterday. We had a great visit, and then on Friday the three of us met up with his sister, her husband, and his niece (his nephew was with a friend), and we all had a nice dinner together. Then on Saturday, his mom left bright and early. It was supposed to snow where she lives, so she had to leave earlier than planned.
Today has been a lazy day. I did a little cooking, a little drawing, some laundry, and a bit of movie watching. Now I have to get ready for tomorrow… 😝
Tomorrow I’m having a medical procedure. Technically it’s a simple procedure that could be done in the office… but… insurance says it must be done in a hospital. You would think being in a hospital might be better, but it can pose its own issues. For example, I have to take a shower tonight with Hibiclens and again tomorrow morning. No lotions, and I have to change my sheets, so I’ll be sleeping on the couch. My Sweetheart likes to cuddle, and after taking a Hibiclens shower that would be a no-no. He will also have to take care of the dogs tomorrow morning since I’m not supposed to be touching any animals, and I have to stay away from anything that could be full of germs until after the procedure. The next set of things is the nurses getting a vein for the IV. My veins are deep (even though visible), and they like to roll, so that’ll be fun tomorrow morning.
Now it’s late, and I need to feed the dogs, finish laundry, take that fun Hibiclens shower, and put together a small purse-type bag to take with me tomorrow. You’re not supposed to take anything with you, but I can’t not take a bag with my necessities.

Oh, and before I forget and I don’t usually ask stuff like this, but… several friends of mine are having a tough week. One was in a car accident, one’s daughter is in the hospital (major medical issues), another had surgery after a dog bite, and one’s mother’s boyfriend had to have major surgery. If you could send some prayers or strong good vibes their way, I would greatly appreciate it.🙏
