This morning, I woke up with a song in my head—and it stuck with me the whole day. The song? Bad Habits by Ed Sheeran.
What I usually do when this happens is play the song on repeat until I don’t want to hear it anymore. So, I popped on my headphones, planning to listen a few times, get it out of my system, and then switch to one of the paranormal YouTube channels I love (I have several I listen to A LOT).
Anyway, I started looping the song while making the dogs’ breakfast—dancing around the kitchen, singing, feeding them, still dancing, and yes, still singing. (Dobby, one of my fur babies, joined in the singing, by the way.) Bad Habits played the whole time.
I felt energized, so… I went for it. I dragged out my new mini trampoline (heavier than I expected!), then grabbed several empty boxes for my office. I’m hoping to organize my office over the next two weeks. I want to get rid of my wooden desk. I like it, but it’s a pain to move, and I need something less bulky. I’ll probably need a file cabinet and maybe another bookcase or storage cabinet. Hopefully, I’ll end up with more space and a cleaner-looking area.
Now — back to the song. It kept playing in my head, even while I was watching a movie with my Sweetheart.
Earlier, my Sweetie put the trampoline together (thank goodness), and as a bonus round of exercise (we’d walked this morning), I put on Bad Habits again—headphones and all—and bounced my way through three full plays (about 12 minutes).
Bottom line? I have a new favorite song.
Dancing in the kitchen, bouncing on the trampoline, riding the bike… I’ve officially found my new go-to workout track.
If you haven’t heard it, I highly recommend giving it a listen. It’s got a great pace for dancing or exercising.
Now that I have my new workout song, I guess I better put it into play — aiming to exercise at least four to five days a week.
Anyway, have a great upcoming week! I’m keeping this post short so I can get back to working on my novel (love saying that)—without music this time. Ed Sheeran can wait until tomorrow.
With that… may your week be filled with hugs, love, laughter, and blessings. 💖
