Big Baby Updates (and More)

It’s Wednesday, and honestly, I don’t feel like writing this post right now. I say it’s Wednesday, but the clock has just turned to Thursday. Updating you on my big baby is part of the reason I don’t feel like writing. I know I don’t have to say anything about him and how he is or isn’t doing, but I’ve kind of gotten into the habit of writing about what I feel, think, or don’t. I’ve been letting you all into my life, hoping you, my readers, may find some connection or comfort in knowing that you are not alone in most things, and that also means neither am I.

Now for a few updates…

I went to another doctor today (Yay!), a pulmonologist. There seems to be scar tissue and a small calcification spot on one of my lungs. The good news is, neither is that bad, and I’m actually doing really well. This is great news because that is one less doctor to see, except as needed, which, if I have my way, won’t be needed.

Creative Writing Class was terrific today (although creative writing is always enjoyable). Still, the feedback I’m getting on my novel Dating Die-Sasters is helpful and makes me more aware of certain things that will help make it a better and more entertaining read.

Now an update on my big baby. After I posted on Monday that he ate a little chicken and rice, and I thought we might be in the clear. Unfortunately, I was wrong. In fact, he didn’t want anything to do with it again. He didn’t eat anything on Monday or Tuesday. Wednesday (now yesterday), I was able to get him to eat a little of a new flavor of dog food. I still haven’t received the appetite stimulant yet, so I can only hope it will help. Last night, when I was going to bed, Axel woke up and started whine-crying. I looked down the steps, and he was staring up, looking so sad. Guess who slept on the couch ~ yep… Me. Axel pulled his bed over at the end of the couch, blocking me, this way if I got up, he would know. 🥹. It was so cute. My Sweetheart and I agreed that if Axel wants me downstairs, I will sleep on the couch till… the end. He growled at one of the other dogs that he gets along with, so it is possible his cognitive abilities are getting worse. Currently, he is curled up in his bed next to me and in a deep sleep, so I might be able to go upstairs. We will see…

Oh and so you know which fur baby I’m talking about, he is the one in the picture with me.

My last update for today…

I will be at the Festival of Books in downtown Nashville on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. I will be at the Spine Bookshop booth #37 near the Tennessee Museum. If you are in the area, please stop by, say hello, and possibly buy a book or two… or three! Support Tennessee’s Local Authors!

This was a last-minute call as someone had to back out, and I was first on the list to get a spot. So “Awesome for me!” I hope to see you there.

Well, it is now 1:40 a.m. on Thursday morning. I’m listening to Matt Rife in the background for a little levity during my writing time. He’s fun to listen to and watch. Yes, my sweetheart knows I think that. 🤣.

Anyway, I am getting sleepy, so until next time, have a great week filled with love, laughter, hugs, and blessings!🌻
