Award Shows, Eye Rolls, and Real Talent
I had what I was going to write fairly planned out… until I saw the Grammys.
I started writing last night, but I was frustrated and decided to wait until today to finish. Maybe I wouldn’t be so frustrated with a stupid award show.
I have to say, I was disappointed. It seemed the award show was mostly about the three B’s — boobs, bellies, and butts.
One of the worst shows I’ve seen in a while.
The tribute performances were great. Although I personally would have LOVED to see Yungblud performing some of Ozzy’s songs — at least one!
There were a lot of artists I’d never heard of, and I was kind of glad I hadn’t… at least for most of them.
I know I’m from a different era, but… geez. The new music — not so much what I would call music. More like noise. One song, Gnarly, I personally found ridiculous. I did have fun joking about the lyrics, though. Two words that were understandable in the song were gnarly and legit. That was about all. So I gathered that they were legitimately gnarly.
My big upset, though, was that they seemed to snub rock, country, and apparently punk. Personally, I’m not a fan of punk, but rock and country — yes. Don’t they all deserve to be seen by the public as well? Appreciated for their talent and their hard work?
I know some awards were given outside of the spotlight night. I know Yungblud won an award, but I — and about six or more million of his fans — would have liked to have seen it on the Grammy stage instead of on YouTube.
On a sad note, I had no idea how many artists passed away this past year. Actors and actresses as well.
Now, on a different note…
I’m building up the courage to start posting videos on TikTok. Not quite sure what I’m going to post or speak on, but I’ll figure it out soon — before I even turn on the camera.
Anyhow, a few new goals are in place for this next month, and one of them is to finish the first draft of Dating Die-Sasters.
Watch for a few sneak peeks in the upcoming weeks — and a few changes to my website.
I’m closing this post out with a wish and a blessing to all:
May your week be filled with hugs, love, laughter, and blessings.
Goodnight!
