Turning the Page: What’s Next on My Writing Journey

What’s Next!

Dangerous Desires is officially out and available on Amazon (paperback and Kindle)!

The Southern Festival of Books this past Sunday was okay, but I think the weather played a big part in keeping people away. One of the nearby booths even closed up hours early. Between the rain and the wind, it turned into a very slow sales day.

This Saturday, I’ll be at the Smyrna Public Library for their Author Event from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thankfully, this one’s indoors, so we shouldn’t have any weather issues!

But that brings me back to the question… What’s next?

Well… it’s time to get back into writer mode.

Do I want to write?
~ Of course, I do! ~

Can I write?
~ Yes, I can write! ~

Will I write?
~ Well… ~

Yes, I will—but it is the starting all over again. It’s about getting my mind back into that creative space, building up the momentum to make those first marks on paper—whether handwritten or typed. I just need to find my flow again.

This time, I might have an even bigger reason to pick up speed. I’m reaching out to publishers for my next round of books—actually, more than a round. I have around nine novels and one or two novella sets on my list. And that doesn’t even include the children’s books—there are at least ten of those waiting in the wings!

So, someone (that’s me!) needs to get her office, life, schedule, and writing times organized and flowing again. I also need to work on improving income flow. Self-publishing isn’t cheap, and there’s still a lot of marketing to do—which means more expenses ahead. So, I’m exploring possibilities: maybe an investor, a part-time job, or—fingers crossed—a publisher partnership.

Anyhow… Dating Die-Sasters will be my next writing goal—along with putting together an NDA to send out to publishers.

It’s getting late, and I ate something yesterday that didn’t quite agree with me, so I’m signing off early tonight.

Wishing you all a fabulous week filled with hugs, love, laughter, and many, many blessings.

Goodnight—and I hope to see you Saturday!
