Dangerous Desires and Dating Die-Sasters — Both in Motion. 📖

Two different worlds, both moving full speed ahead

It’s official — I’ve received responses from my Beta Readers, and now the real editing begins!
While Dangerous Desires is slightly delayed, with a new estimated release date of the end of September, I’m okay with that. The feedback I’ve gotten so far has been encouraging, and I’m excited to roll up my sleeves and dive in. Once I finish my edits, the manuscript goes to my editor. After her review, it will come back to me for one final pass before formatting and publication.

Meanwhile, I also have a cover decision to make. I like the current design, but I either need to add another character to it or redo it completely. That choice needs to be made very soon so I can stay on track.

While waiting for feedback, my Dating Die-Sasters crew decided to wander back from their mental vacation — and they are ready to play again! I’m making good progress on their first story, and I’ve also reimagined a few characters. I’ve swapped out two (maybe three) of my male leads for choices that feel like a much better fit. I finally decided what kind of cryptid my maître d’ will be, which has helped me lock in his look. This week, I’ll be saving photos to my “characters” file so I can keep that inspiration close as I write.

On the home front, I’m preparing for my upcoming trip. That means making “how-to” lists for my sweetheart — including feeding and potty schedules for the dogs, watering schedules for the plants and the birds, and other daily care routines. I also did a closet check yesterday, trying on all my pants. I’m happy to report that some pairs I couldn’t wear a few months ago now fit perfectly. Woohoo!

I’m ready to happily juggle Dating Die-Sasters and Dangerous Desires, while still jotting down notes for my other books. When I return from my trip, I plan to start learning Canva so I can begin designing my own book covers.

And of course, I can’t forget Toastmasters! I want to begin the Accredited Speaker path — a challenge that will be equal parts scary and fun. If I put my mind to it, I know I can make it happen.

So, what about you? Is there a class you’ve been wanting to take? Something new you’d like to learn? A dream trip you’re ready to plan?

Until next time… take a few moments to do something just for you — and let your inner child out to play.

I hope your week is filled with hugs, love, laughter, and blessings.
G’night!😴
