I missed Sunday’s posting, as you already know. My sweetheart was sick most of last week and throughout the weekend. And guess who got it? Yep, me. I wasn’t nearly as sick as he was, but I’m still feeling off. I was told there is a new virus going around that starts with a dry cough and headache, then turns into what you might think is the flu or COVID—except it’s different somehow. I don’t think I had any of those, but who knows. I’m not going to the doctor for something like this. I can take most of the stuff they give you, so I usually just wait for the cold/flu/virus/COVID—whatever it is—to fade out.
Anyway, I had a wonderful Christmas with my family, and my New Year’s was quiet. 2025 came in the same way 2024 left—quiet. I like quiet with occasional party time sprinkled in here and there.
My goals started on Monday, and even though I’m doing okay, it’s been hard to restart. I have to be more diligent for several reasons. One main reason is that I have to have one of my novellas published by March 1st. I have an author event, and I’d like to have more than just A Little Witch’s Wish and A Moody Dragon available for sale. It’s time I get myself focused and get things done. I feel like I’m on track. I’ll be looking for more beta readers before I send it for final editing. I have classes starting on the 21st, so I may be able to get some of the students to be readers for me.
So, how was your holiday? Did 2025 start well for you? Do you make resolutions or not? What are some of your goals for this sparkling new year?
I’d love to hear from you and know your thoughts.
One thing I could use your help on—I’m torn on a book title. A novella I’m working on will most likely be the first to be published. The book is a paranormal romance about a woman who encounters a “dogman” (I don’t like that phrase, so I’m changing it to “wolfman”), and well, love blooms from there, kind of.
Anyhow, the first title I had was Tempted By The Dogman (hate it). The next title, Tempted By Danger (still not what I want). Suggestions from loved ones: Drawn To Danger, Desire For Danger, Dangerous Desires, or Dreams Of Danger.
Which do you like? Would one of these titles make you pick up the book and check it out? Is one more intriguing than the others for you?
Let me know what you think—I’d love to know your ideas. And if you have other suggestions, let me know what they are. I’m open to suggestions.
With this, I’ll leave you to enjoy the rest of your week. I’m going to lie down for a bit before joining the family on my new favorite game, ESO. Yes, I’m a gamer. It’s fun, and the storylines in this game are really good.
Have a great week, and may it be filled with hugs, love, laughter, and blessings.
