Fun Day ~ Sunday!

Hello and Happy Sunday, everyone! Today has been kind of a whirlwind.

The weather was beautiful, so I was able to reach my exercise goal with a nice walk to our favorite coffee shop. We also tried to start Axel on his appetite stimulant, but for a dog who moves really slowly these days, he made it extremely difficult to get the medicine in his mouth. My sweetheart tried to hold him while I attempted to squirt the meds into his mouth. I say “attempted” because we didn’t really succeed. I put some on my finger and tried to get it onto his doggy lips, but to be honest, I’m not sure where it ended up. He has been eating turkey hot dogs, which is at least something. He’s my junk food baby, but with his days coming to an end sooner than I’m prepared for, I figure if I can get him to eat, he can have whatever he wants.

Next on our schedule was the Southern Festival of Books in downtown Nashville. I was lucky enough to get a spot at the “meet the author” table in the Spine Bookshop booth. I made a few connections, and while I was at the booth, my sweetheart walked around and scouted out booths he thought I might like. Some turned out to be very good connections. He is such a great support. I wouldn’t have had time on my own, so I’m grateful he went with me.

Today was a good day—actually, yesterday was pretty good, too. I visited the Smyrna Library, where my art is on display until the end of the month, and they were hosting a local author event. I went to add something to my display, check out some of the other authors, and say hi to a friend who was there with her book, Chin Hairs and Other Things Mama Didn’t Tell You: From Surviving to Thriving in Your 20s and 30s by Kelly L. Knowles.

While we were there, Kelly introduced me to a reporter from a small paper in Murfreesboro. He ended up interviewing me and my sweetheart, so I got some publicity for my books and upcoming projects.

It’s been a great weekend with beautiful weather, good connections, and friends.

It’s late, so I’ll leave you with this quote from John F. Kennedy: “We must find time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives.” I’d like to add that it’s not only people but animals and nature as well.

What are you grateful for this weekend?

Have a great week, and I’ll see you on Wednesday. Hugs, love, laughter, and blessings to each of you.🌻
