Here it is after 11:00 p.m., and I just realized I had not written my new mid-week post. I may have a few slips before I get into the habit of writing twice a week here. Technically, I write daily, but not for my blog.
Anyhow, I have been sick since Saturday and spent most of my time on the couch. It’s such a comfy place to spend the day, especially when not feeling well. Do we know what I picked up? Not officially. It was one of three possibles: strep throat (less likely), COVID (nope, not claiming it), or the flu (lesser of the three). It has been enough to ALMOST make me go back to wearing a mask when I go out. On Tuesday, I was at the DMV (two offices), and on Wednesday, I was at a work area, physical therapy, and a bookshop. It was from one of those four places I ran into and took home a bug. Today, I have started to feel better—tired, but better.
My Sweetheart has been wonderful at trying to take care of me, which isn’t easy. I’ve always been one to take care of others, and giving up the reins to someone else is not easy. But since I was asleep most of the time, he helped with the dogs and made sure I was eating. Love my Sweetheart!
I managed to keep my goals this week; most I only did the minimum of, but this week, drawing has been extra soothing. I am currently working on a raven with flowers and will post it on my Instagram once it’s completed.
As I am getting tired and ready to retire for the evening, I will close with a quote.
Mahatma Gandhi once said, “It is health that is the real wealth, and not pieces of gold and silver.”
I have to agree because if you don’t have your health, what good is gold or silver? You can’t really do much with it, and you definitely can’t take it with you.
I wish you all good health, love, laughter, many hugs, and blessings. Until next Sunday then, Goodnight and sweet dreams!🌻
