Wow, What a Week!🤣

Hello friends, I hope you all have had a more exciting week than I have. As some may know, after my last bout of COVID, I gained way too much weight, especially for my body frame and my knees (having had surgery on both). Anyhow, my sweetheart has also put on weight, and neither of us are happy with our appearances. His suggestion was to go back on Dr. KellyAnn’s Bone Broth diet. Personally, I’m not a fan of diets, but with health at stake, I agreed.

Now, we have done this diet before, and it was great-ish. We did drop inches as well as weight, but I hit a plateau and seemed stuck at a still-not-what-I-wanted weight. Then, not too long after, I got sick. Unfortunately, now it is pretty much no longer an option to not diet. I have got to do something, hence the Bone Broth diet again. We began last Monday (7/8) and have been doing well. I am doing a variation of the diet since the bovine broth kind of makes me sick. I can’t eat red meat without some issues and I prefer not to eat it anyway. I’m not a complete vegetarian but close.

On this diet, you do have to have protein, so I stick with eggs, fish, shellfish, and an occasional bite of turkey or chicken (all organic/antibiotic-free). Anyway, I drink the collagen shakes and seem to do okay with them. Since starting the diet, I have dropped around 5 to 6 pounds. Yes, I know some of it is water weight, but it’s still gone, so I’m good. Next week, I will start back with exercises too. I have taken this week off because, during the first week, you kind of feel drained, or you have the carb flu of sorts. There are two fasting days within each week, and boy, did they take their toll. All I wanted to do was curl up, nap, and read. I know it doesn’t help that I go to bed extremely late, but with the fasting, it’s definitely draining.

Several good things, other than dropping a few pounds already: I’m not bloating, I’m cooking healthier meals (no fast food), we are saving money by not going to a favorite coffee shop every other day, and I know in the long run, I will be healthier. My sweetie is doing pretty much the strict diet, and like I said, I’m doing a variation of it. But all in all, it’s not bad and we are having good results.

As for goals, I have kept my agreements each day, and the drawing challenge is going well. I have found there is a difference between crap materials and good materials. Right now, I’m going through my colored pencils and have found I have several that are crap, so it’s time to visit an art or craft/hobby store near me. Shopping time is also good for me, well not really but it’s fun and has some creative moments.

If you are wondering why the title of this post is “Wow, What a Week!🤣,” and then when you read it “it’s boring”. Well it’s because of the diet and the drained feeling. Plus, I have watched one too many paranormal YouTube videos (I may never go camping again), and I have had a fairly uneventful week. That is why the laughing emoji, because I’m laughing at my boring week. Now, next week has promise. My Toastmaster club is getting together on Friday night and going for karaoke. This should be fun, embarrassing, all while being good for the soul.

For now I’ll leave you to your Sunday and upcoming week. Wishing you each a week filled with happiness, laughter, love, blessings, and hugs. Take care.🌻
