Hello, my friends! I hate to say it, but this past week was just kind of blah, really. I barely made my goals each day. For some reason, which I hope will be figured out this week, water was not my friend. There is a burn I’ve been dealing with for a while now, kind of like acid reflux but yet not, and water seems to add to or even fuel the burn. I think taking an aspirin a day for years per a doctor’s directive may have actually caused some issues. But I’m having a scope on Thursday, and fingers crossed that and the results of some tests they did will come up with answers. I would really like to be able to eat and drink again without feeling nauseous or having a burn going from my throat to my stomach almost every day.
So, enough about health stuff. I did manage to keep my goals but did the minimum required. Only 21 more days to this quarter’s goals. As it stands, I will be receiving the funds from our “missed goals pot,” which I am thrilled about because the money will be going to a good cause: a wildlife rescue here in Nashville. This works especially well since I had to save a baby possum from one of my dogs. He is so cute (the baby possum), and if I were a rescuer and allowed to save him myself, I would. But since I am not, I will be calling the rescue facility tomorrow for advice. I want the baby to be safe, but unfortunately, I am not able to go outside with my dogs for every potty break, especially at night or while I’m visiting family. So saving him or her from my big babies is important.
Anyway, this should be an interesting week ahead. I’m also setting another personal goal starting tomorrow night: screens off at 11:00 p.m. (except for reading my Kindle). Other than that, no TV, no iPad, no phone. So wish me luck—I do a lot on screens after 11. But I got this! 🤞
