I sit here thinking over the past several weeks and how I have done with the goals I set out to complete on a daily, weekly, and eventually quarterly basis. As we enter the last month for this set of goals, I’m split between being grateful I chose a minimum time of 5 minutes for my time limits and only 32 ounces of water and thinking I was too easy on myself. There have been days I was barely able to make the 5 minutes, and the thought of having to go any longer was a bit distressing, yet if I’m really honest with myself, I haven’t made any real progress on improving my health. It is good that I’m drinking 32 ounces of water, but to keep my kidneys healthy, is that really enough? I’m doing better with meditations, but if it’s longer than 6 to 10 minutes, I fall asleep. I used to be able to meditate for 20 minutes or longer with beautiful vivid images in my mind. My creativeness and mind were sharper, clearer, and I was happier. So, 5 minutes is a start, but I need to do more. 5 minutes of exercise is great for stretching, but to actually drop weight, tone up, and feel healthier, it is not enough, not even close.
I was scheduled for a nuclear stress test and echocardiogram on Friday. I postponed it for the third time, partly because of finally finding out the price (unfortunately they neglected to tell me previously), and because I want more time to ready myself for the “stress test” portion. But 5 minutes a day is not adequate enough time to make a difference. So for the last month of this quarter, I will strive to exercise earlier and longer. Actually start some sort of program that will entice me to actually make a difference in my health.
I also have a few things I’m getting ready to start working on, but I will not tell you just yet what they are as I need to figure out how, when, and where to get started. Once I do, I will share the details.
On one good note, the 30 Day Drawing Challenge I began has been going well, and I am posting the daily sketches/drawings on Instagram. Today will be the 10th day, some are good and some not so much but I am doing them daily regardless. If you have time, please go to my Instagram and check them out: CreativelyUnlimited.
I would like to wish you all a happy week filled with Hugs, Love, Laughter, and Blessings. 🌻
