Week 8 ~ Goals Update

Happy Sunday!

I’m thrilled to say I’ve begun this early in the day and didn’t wait until the last minute. Woohoo!!! I’ve actually done much better this week on getting my goals completed earlier. The 30 Day Drawing Challenge I chose to start is going great. I’m even working with my boyfriend’s niece to improve her art skills. She is talented but because a slightly older girl tells her she isn’t, she doubts and downs herself. I’m trying to help her understand that everyone sees things differently and just because one person doesn’t like something or approve of something doesn’t mean it isn’t good or right. That is only one person’s opinion. Personally, I think she is talented and if she sticks with it she could turn it into a career someday (she is only 10 now). Hopefully with positive influence and good experiences she will learn to see how great she really is (in a good way).

How many of us adults have felt the pain of words? We often down, self-degrade, or even sabotage ourselves because of words spoken to us as children. Often not feeling worthy of success, we take roads that often lead us too far from our dreams or take us the long way around. Personally, I took a huge detour that had taken me the extremely way too long way around to live my dreams and find my passion. With some introspection I’m finding that the issues I have with procrastination are just possibly (insert sarcasm here) be my own form of self-sabotage. I am working to get past them; starting with redesigning work areas, making a daily check-off list, and of course making goals and agreements with those that will help keep me accountable.

With that, I am going to close this short post and begin my 17th day of my Drawing Challenge. If you’d like to check them out please go to my Instagram page: CreativelyUnlimited.

As always, hugs, love, laughter, and blessings to you. Great night too. 🌻
