Wow! This first week of 2026 flew past me like a tornado in Texas.🌪️
One minute I was eating grapes at midnight on New Year’s Eve, and the next I’m sitting here at 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning, wondering where Sunday went.
This New Year couldn’t get here fast enough (2025 was rough), but now that it is here, it can slow down a bit and let us enjoy the newness and the possibilities it offers.
As with every new day, it is a new beginning, but this new year feels different. It feels like we are going to experience something on a higher level. I do not know what, but I am ready.
Some of you may remember that I am part of a Goals Group. January 1st marked the beginning of a new quarter and new goals. This quarter, I’m focusing on me. Some of my goals are not within the Goals Group; they are commitments I’ve made to myself, except for my exercise goals. A few of those are with my friend Mary, but the rest are all mine.
I’m going to do my best to cut as much sugar out of my diet — at least as much as I can stand. I’ve done really well cutting back on gluten.
So, dietary changes, exercise, and pampering — those are this quarter’s primary goals, but there are more.
