What a Week: From Fender Benders to Family Time 🥰

What a Week!

It’s not that it was an awful week or a wonderful week, but it definitely got away from me. As I wrote last Wednesday, I was getting ready for our trip to Texas to visit my sister and her family.

Thursday was a mad dash to finish up before our flight. Once ready, we left for the airport and were making good time—until we were rear-ended. Yes, by a hit-and-run driver.

We were all (my sweetheart, his father, and me) stunned and didn’t catch the kid’s license plate number. He looked like he was in his late teens to mid-twenties and was driving a black sedan.

I was in the backseat and took the brunt of the hit. Since the guy fled the scene, we only took pictures and then had to leave to make it to the airport on time.

Once at the airport, while checking in, one of my bags was three pounds overweight. So, I had to take things from one bag and put them in another. This, of course, delayed us even more. Then, as we walked up to the TSA line, I was stunned at the extremely long line (I’m getting Global PreCheck as soon as I can). Honestly, I didn’t think we were going to get through in time.

We made it, but after the accident my back was sore, and I was walking at a snail’s pace—but we made it.

Getting on the plane and finding it was a full flight, I felt like a sardine. Once we landed, I couldn’t get to the car fast enough.

Now, the good times began. I was able to see my niece cheer at one of her school’s basketball games. Yesterday, I had my first (hopefully of many) book signing outside the state of Tennessee. I had a great time, and everyone was so nice. I was invited back, and I have to say I spent way more than I sold 😊—but I do think I made a few new friends. I will definitely be back.

Today we went to the movies and saw Zootopia 2, and I’m so glad I had already seen it before we got here, because I spent most of the movie watching my sister laugh. That alone made it worth it. I loved it. Highly recommend.

Anyway… I wasn’t in the right frame of mind on Wednesday to write my blog and was still working the kinks out of my back. They aren’t gone, but I have a heating pad to help. So, I’m going to close for now, turn on the heating pad, and play some ESO with my sister.

Have a fabulous week, and be sure to fill it with hugs, love, laughter, and blessings.

Good night!🙁

Special thank you to James, Joe, and Ivy at the Enchanted Forest in Arlington, TX.

Very nice people and I can recommend their quaint and friendly store.
