Dear 2025, Can You Slow Down Just a Bit So I Can Catch Up!

Happy Sunday, My Friends!

Wow, where is the time flying off to? First, it’s 2025, and January is almost half gone—already! Time must be in a hurry to get to some wild, fun party, and we weren’t invited.

What am I saying? I’m saying that time is going by way too fast for me. I’ve got so much I want to do—and need to do—but getting it all scheduled is proving to be a bit tricky. I’ve started using my planner (fingers crossed I keep it up) to make sure I stay on track daily, weekly, and monthly. However, planning things hourly and actually doing what I need to do isn’t quite happening. At least, not the way I want. Trying to add structure to my chaos feels like following a toddler with a pet monkey who’s been let loose in a room full of bright, shiny toys. Straightening it all out and sticking to it is going to be “fun.” Yes, I’m being just a wee bit sarcastic.

Since I stopped working a “9-to-5” job and am no longer juggling a load of classes, I’ve realized I need to be more diligent with my time. I have books that want to be written and art that’s begging to be drawn, so I—the master of my world—must take the time to be productive and keep my promises to myself. The key is staying on track and setting some sort of scheduled boundaries for my time.

If you have any suggestions for time management or organization that have worked well for you, please share them!

As someone who likely has ADD or ADHD, I’ve found a decent journal that seems helpful. Now, the next step is to get organized, which feels like a whole job in itself. Again, if you have tips, I’m all ears.

For now, though, I’ll close this brief post to focus on my goals, which I’m actually making progress on—yay!

Till next time…

Have a great week, stay safe (the snow is melting, but it’s turning to ice, and more is on the way), and may your days be filled with love, laughter, hugs, and blessings.
