Happy Sunday! I hope your weekend has been great. Mine has been okay, and not really anything in the interesting arena as weekends go. I was in a humorous speech contest. I had fun even though I didn’t win. For those of you that might be thinking, where in the world would you find a contest? Well, Toastmasters, of course. Yeah, I know I mention Toastmasters a lot, but it really is a decent way to learn public speaking, leadership, ways to interview, and more. But that is not the topic of my blog this week.
First, an update on my goals for this quarter. We are only a few weeks in, but I’m doing great. I did miss one day, but I chose to miss that day. Drinking water was not happening that day. Every time I drank—well, actually six or seven out of ten times—when I drank water, I got a burn. That day, water was not my friend at all. So I took a pass, $1.00.
Now for my title, “Switching Channels.” I’ve spent the weekend watching quite a bit of TV (Netflix, Prime, etc.). As I kept switching the channels and looking for something better, more interesting, or whatever it was that would have caught my attention, I wondered what it would be like to have a remote to switch the channels in my life. Maybe fix things like… bad dates (had a few of those), studying to get better grades, actually go to college or the military out of high school. Begin my writing and art career much sooner. Like when I first had the ideas. But most of all, take much better care of myself, oh and travel. I’ve always wanted to travel. Do you ever think about something like that? There are quite a few things I would like to switch so many channels in my life: my childhood, life as a teenager, parts of my adult life… I guess the list could go on and on, but since we can’t go into the past,
With that, I will start switching the channels on my current life. Why? Because I have got to do better at so many things right now: health, writing, art, travel, and health (it’s that important I had to say it twice). When? ASAP. How? Still working on it.
So, for now, I’ll close this post and figure out ways I can start working on my remote to start switching some channels.
Till next week, I wish Hugs, Love, Blessings, and Laughter to you and yours. 🌻
