#4 Short Update of 2024 First Quarter Goals

Well, I’m still procrastinating on getting things done, but I’m doing better if that makes sense. Today, not so much, but most of the week, I’ve done better, and isn’t that a good thing? For those of us who are procrastinators, any step in the right direction is a Great Step.

I also made steps on my journey as an author and artist. I went to a small, quaint bookstore/art gallery this week and met some fabulous people. An author who was there has been a great help in guiding me, the bookstore owner is going to start selling my books, and the art gallery director said we could talk about putting my work in sometime. Plus, on a different note but a good thing for this week. I move forward to the area contest for both Toastmaster contests. If you haven’t read any of my other blogs about my time in Toastmasters, I’ll be happy to tell you about them at another time, but for now, let’s get back to goals.

When you set goals, it’s really good to have others to help hold you accountable. I’ve found that when I set a goal and am left on my own to accomplish them, I have a 50/50 chance of getting them done, even when they are important. When I have an accountability partner or group to help keep me on track, it bumps up my success rate to a 90/10 chance of getting them done, if not higher.

So, I’ll end this little update for now. I hope to hear your ideas and suggestions soon. Oh, and if you would like to visit the bookstore/art gallery, you can find it in Smyrna, TN. The name is “The Spine Bookshop,” a great place with friendly people.

Take care till next week.

Hugs, Love, Laughter, and Blessings🌻
